an amazing night

This event happened like 6 months ago, I don’t remember exactly the date, was in a Saturday, and the story starts like this:

That Saturday, me and my friends was celebrating something, I think it was a birthday but I don’t remember this detail very well, we were in our friend’s hose, like 10-15 persons hanging out and enjoying the moment a lot, but, advanced the night we decide to move to another place to keep parting, it´s takes a long time to decide, but at the end we choose to go to a discotheque, happily, one of my friends didn’t drink this night, so we can move to the other party by car. We started to move on, we stopped in a traffic light, the inconvenient was the car next to us, it was a cop car, the designated driver starts to accelerate the motor to provoke the cop to a race, the cop was very angry, and at the instant the light put in green my friend accelerate, like it was a quarter mile, the cop’s car turn on their lights and the siren and started to chase us, we tried to space but the persecution turns a different level when another two cop’s cars appeared! It was terrifying, after a few minutes the cops can stops us, all the cops get down of their cars, and the cop who talked to us was no other than Albert Einstein!!!

An amazing animal

Hi today I’m going to talk about a very interesting and estrange animal, the Axolotl, also known as Ambystoma mexicanum (scientific name). this animal has their origin in Mexico’s valley, more specific in “Canales de Xochimilico”. It’s an amphibian, in adult stage their length is 25 centimeters approx. Their habitat is lake with little depth and with so many vegetation, are full aquatics animals, the axolotl is like a salamander but it has gills, there are so many colors of this animal, in wild habitats, generally, the colors are more brown and with darker patches, but you can find also gray, brown, brown green, orange and even white with black eyes, golden albino, white albino or almost black, is known as the most beautiful aquatic animal in the world.

Despite of all this characteristics, the motivation to write about this animal is another, the axolotl is immortal, yes immortal, this animal has the amazing power to regenerate their body, can restore from their appendix arms and legs to their brain or heart, also this animal is very resistant to transplants, including transplants of other animals.

Another quality is that the axolotl has the fountain of youth, they conserve them babies characteristics to adult.

an amazing photo

Hello, for today I want to talk about a personal photo, this photo was taken by my best friend’s drone, the village that it is showing is Papudo. It was taken in the 18^th holidays, I really like this photo because it shows Papudo from a view that I never saw before. I love this photo because is so beautiful, it’s shows all the extension of Papudo (yes it’s very small), with all the different colors, the beach, the ocean, the hills and the forest.

Also I love this photo because when I see it brings me to some gratefully peace and a feeling of good vibes and it´s remember me that amazing place and holidays. Another fact that makes this photo amazing for me is that when the photo was taken my friends and I were in the middle of the forest, at the top of the hill, just looking the amazing landscape and enjoying the beautiful landscape.

A very intresting skill

Hello, I admire a lot of skills, but the one I admire the most is a high corporeal awareness. This skill has so many applications, one of the most important applications for this skill is the auto knowledge, this is so important to feel good whit ourselves and being nice in day to day, have a great ability to identify our internal problems and solve it.

But the application I like to practices more is the corporeal awareness in sports, more specifically the physical awareness. I like to train this ability, first because I do gymnastics and to progress in this discipline you need to have a total control of your body and the position you have in the air with regard of the floor and so many movements that you have to do the exercise correctly, progress and don´t get injured.

The are many possibilities to train the corporal awareness, the most common is meditating (thing that I don´t do frequently), but I try to train it the more possible in the day, breathing consciously, trying to know where all the parts of my body are and what are it doing, and trying to connect all my thoughts, and what I think with my body and actions.

My piece of technology

Helloo, I’m back again, today’s blog is about one thing that we are familiarized with, technology, but more specific my cellphone. Most of you may think that I like my phone because it has WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and those things, but the reason I love it the most is the camera, actually, my phone had a great camera 8 megapixels), and it’s fantastic. I really like the camera bus despite of the technical characteristics, I love it because I can do many things with it, I like a lot taking picture, not being a professional camera makes it veeery easier, I don’t need to program the camera with many options, so I only need to play with the lights and the blur. Another very fun options are the video recording, in normal speed, time-lapse or slow Mo, personally y like a lot the last one because makes fallings funnier. But although the videos are very interesting I still prefer taking pictures, the pictures I like to take the most are pictures of the nature, like flowers, trees, sunsets, and this stuff. And another thing that I use it is to taking pictures of landscapes and people for the photomontages that I realize.  

amazing vacations

Hello everyone, I’m going to talk about an amazing time of the year, the holidays. One of the best vacation I had was in Mancora, Perú, it was in summer of 2016n in January, I have never gone out of the country for a holidays vacations before, it was awesome, we stayed in a house all the family, and the house was next to the beach, like you go out of the house and the yard was half grass and half beach, firsty we gone to the village of Mancora to walk around and visit “feria artesanal”. Another day we went to a tour on a boat, we saw the nearest villages from the ocean, its looks amazing and then we swam with turtles. But one of the bests parts of the trip was the food, the house had private service of food, traditional homemade Peruvian food, it was delicious, the plates I like the most was a salad with mango, causa limeña, suspiro limeño and a really Peruvian pisco sour. But despite of all the things we do, I really appreciated the invitation and the experience of meeting new places. 

an amazing country

Hello people, we are back for another season of blogs. Today in this first blog I’m going to talk about a country that I really want to visit, this country is Finland, it’s located on the north of Europe, between Russia and Sweden, the capital is Helsinki and the official language is Finnish.

I’ve never traveled to Europe, so I’m not ever close to Finland, but I really want to visit this country, first I love the natural environment, all the snow in the country mixed with all the woods are very beautiful. Another beautiful landscape from Finland are the lakes that it’s have, even the country had beaches if I visit the country I prefer to stay in the internal part of it, walking around, climbing mountains and walking through the woods, and I think there are many adorable animals.

But above all. The thing I want to do the most is staying a night out and look the aurora borealis, this is one thing in my life bucket list, I really want to be in the woods, with a lot of snow, the natural’s sounds and simply lie down watching this amazing moment of my life. 

A very intresting subject

Hello people, it’s Felipe here again, today I’m going to talk about structure, a subject that I really enjoyed this semester. This subject links so many subjects, some math, physics, geometry and environmental things. First in the semester we have an introduction to materials, like how is structure the concrete and wood, insulating proprieties, how to reach the maximum comfort for the people inside the building and a bit of the legal part of construction. For the first evaluated work we needed to analyze an existing building of Aravena and investigate how this construction works and if it reach the comfort for the people. Then in class we started calculating the buildings, for that we use mathematics and physics to resolve it and know if the building can stay built. For the second mark we did a test in which we needed to analyze a building and calculate another one. currently we are working in a structure made of steel, we need to calculate the forces involved to know the size of the parts and then make a model in 1:20 scale, and it’s going to be evaluated tomorrow!.

But despite of all the liability this subject is very fun to me and it’s very important to know how the buildings are made and how the material work in it, is awesome!

Music

Hi everyone, today it’s free election of the subject so I going to talk about music. Music is a big part of me, I literally listen to music all day, when I have breakfast in the morning, when I go to university, and the most important, when I’m working for workshop at night. I listen many types of music, which go from reaggeton, passing for hard techno, psytrance and finishing in pop and rock. Literally I am whit music all day, if I can’t listen to it I sing it or humming it in my head. Another important point is that I have a very good friend how study music and often we got together to listen music or compose it (my friend composes and I only listen it hahaha). I said the most important moment to listen music it’s when I’m working for workshop, but the moment I like the most is walk whit music, in that moment nothing can bother me in this moment I’m literally in my own world and I enjoy it a lot.  

My piece of technology

Hello, I’m going to talk about some piece of technology that is so important to me, my computer. I need my computer for my career, is my partner with the projects for taller, I need it because we use a lot of programs and is very necessary to use it, but this is not all, I use it for another important thing, listen to music, it’s my faithful companion in the nights, also I use it to watch videos and play, I have my precious game, battlefield 1. Besides I use it as a backup of my personal things that I have on my phone, actually                                                                                     my computer is not running at 100% it’s need a                                                                                       check and a visit to the computers doctor, but                                                                                           despite of the issues it’s still being my best help                                                                                       for architecture.

An amazing place

Hi it's Felite again, this time I’m gone to talk about an amazing place, the village in the photo, Papudo. It’s a fantastic place near La Ligua. This amazing town have many beautiful places to visit, it’s have a forest and many beaches, and the oldest tennis club in Chile. As well as the beautiful landscape is very special to me because I go to my grandparent’s house every year since I have 2 years old, I met my best friend at the age of 4, she was my neighbor, and I met very good friends In there and also my first love. And with my best friends have a very big groups of friends to hang out, something close to 70 people. But despite of all the party, Papudo it’s a very good place to relax the body and the mind, have a nice walk in the beach, go with the family and some churros at the sunset. 

My passion for sports

Hi everyone, it’s Felipe here again, today we have free choice of a theme to write, so I chose sports. Doing sports is very important in life and good for all, and in my life I did this correctly, I’ve been practicing sports my entire life, more specifically since I had 10 months old. My first sport was gymnastics for babies, then when I was in school, I played volleyball for Stadio Italiano club, but I have to leave it because I was too short for the team, because of this I entered to practices aikido in the same club for almost a year, then I entered to the football selection of my school. I played in the football team until I Leave the school, but in the summers I played tennis (every summer since I have 5 years old). In my last semester in school I leave the football selection and I started practicing gymnastics, this time gymnastics for adults, and when I started to study in the university I entered to de volleyball selection, now playing for FAU. And this lasts year I left the volleyball selection and came back to gymnastics, after this explanation you can see that sports it’s a very important part of my life J.

Architecture

Hello, it’s Felipe here again, I wanted to study architecture because when I was a kid I liked to play with boxes a lot, I decided to study this career when I was 10 years approximately, sincerely in the background of my mind I don’t know why I like architecture but now I know more about the career and the profession I love it more. I really like architecture because it can help a lot of people and it can influence a lot in the city, and it’s very interesting and fun (to me), and I feel I can do good things for the people.

 But there’s no only love and fun things, studying architecture it’s so stressful and demanding of time, which it´s involves having less time to do social life, sports and have family time and above all had no time to sleep, but in despite of all the disadvantages I love the career and its make me very happy. 

Felipe Casals-FAU

Hello, my name is Felipe Casals, I’m studying in Universidad de Chile, more specifically in FAU. I’m 20 years old, I don’t have much events who marked me but I will try to found and tell those to you. I think one of the more important moments in my life was enter to study here in FAU, it’s marked me a lot, I change my vision of the life a lot, another moment who marked me was when I had 11 years old and I broke my knee when I was running to a pool, I needed to put cast on my leg and I can’t walk for 1 month!. And another moment who marked me was when I tried to do downhill for the first time, it was terrible, I was so scared and I felt a lot of times in of my bike, and when I finally can get down my bike wasted and I fall in to a puddle… It was traumatic.

Hello, welcome to my blog, my name is Felipe Casals, I'm coursing second year of architecture in Universidad de Chile. I was born here in Chile and my booth parents are chilean, I have 3 brothers and now im living in Santiago, I have 20 years old and I like sports, specially volleyball and gymnastics, I left school in 2015, from "Colegio Compañia de Maria". I love to study architecture, despite of i'ts requeriment of time, but I can organize my time so I can do sports and hang out with my friends.
